Newly Found Items
Just when I think we've found all that we can, up pops more objects. These were found over at the Archaeological Curation Facility, where some of the Beardsley object had been stored. I love the Hershey's box!
And here is the "box of stone (incomplete)," the description of which in the inventory has been cracking me up. Clearly, it should have read "collection" of stones. Then that "incomplete" descriptor would have meant something. I do love that the collection was stored and labeled in a candy box. I hope all of you (when describing something) would think to include that very relevant piece of information (however irrelevant it might be to the stones inside).
Yes. "Incomplete box of stones" is about the least helpful description possible. There appears to be two numbers associated with it (74-2-132 and 74-2-17), which is just another puzzle to put together. The 3x5 card says that a small box was inside, which is missing today.
